Why is it that it takes me so much longer to log out than to log in. It takes forever for them to say goodbye and then a while longer before I can pull anything else up. Or is it just me?

No. It takes a long time to quit out of Uru, too. Sometime I do a Shift-Ctrl-Escape and "End Task" Uru, then go to Start>Shut Down to shut down the computer before the GameTap screen even comes back up. Windows will send a Shut Down message to all open programs, then. I don't like doing it this way, but it's a lot quicker.

I also believe that the more RAM memory you have, the faster the Uru client shuts down and the GameTap client "pops" back up.

(For example, if you only have 512 MB of RAM, there will be a lot more memory-to-hard-drive swapping than if you have 1 GB.)

I can attest to this. I just upgraded from 512MB to 1GB, and there is significantly less -- if any -- disc thrashing. GameTap starts up and quits much faster now.
