I've seen on the Totem in the city; jmb30321 is listed as a member who has passed away. Is this true?

I don't know about that, but I do see other names that concern me as well.

Zardoz?

I'm hoping that maybe they've only been obducted.

Zardoz has been around since UO. Now I'm worried.

A few names listed on the totem, are people who have passed away in real life.

Actually, all of the names except for Wheely & Rosette are of real people we've lost.

A Google search for Jeannie Barcus brought up this.

A Mark Plummer search brought up this.

There are more new names:

Cindy Farrar
Jahuti
Josef Riedl
Mo'zie
I can't say I knew them, but condolences to their families and friends

All of those other than Josef Riedl were on the memorial in late 2013. See Tai'lahr's post.

I knew Jahuti had been on there, but I didn't realize he'd been gone so long  .

Strange, those names never showed op on my side in the last few weeks...

Edit, at least they didn't suffer the last big "cave in".

Wafna, thank you for researching and posting those links.

Seeing Zardoz's name on the memorial stunned me. And, prompted me to do something I've been wanting to do for a long time - collect information about each of the individuals on the memorial and post a list for easy reference. (I'll post more about that when I'm farther along on the project.)

Attex, you have my deepest sympathies for the loss of your friend. If you would like to share your memories of her for the collection, please feel free to post it here or send it to me in a PM. (( hugs ))

His contributions were legend.

I generally don't comment on community losses, but this one is intolerable. He's got some 'splaining to do. I think I'll go drop a pellet just to annoy him.

Besides being a level-headed thinker, Zardoz was one cool cat.

Someone at Cyan apparently learned of his passing, I wonder who and how?

Tai'lahr, thanks so much for taking on this project. It's a very worthy endeavor.

I've started a thread to post memories of Zardoz here.

Jeannie died of complications due to breast cancer. It metastasized throughout her body, eventually to her brain.

She was one of my adopted virtual aunts and she was a tremendous human being, kind to the very last when life itself hadn't been kind to her at all.

Contact me if you need more information.

Rest in peace Aunt Jeannie.

My condolences to you, Sh'aeri. She sounds like a wonderful person, but I don't think many of us here knew her or knew her well. Her section for the In Memoriam project is rather brief. Maybe you could look it over and let me know if it needs any corrections or additions: Jeannie "jmb30321" Barcus.
