A fine time was had, despite the somewhat unexpected interruption caused by a power cut at our broadcasting center. Up to 30 listeners at one point, which is very encouraging. Playlist is now published on the Radio Free D'ni site.

The next show, on October 15th, will be Lazy Days, a set of slow tracks. But keep in mind that we're keeping the romantic slows to one side for a Valentine's Day show next year. Perhaps we can get Mr. Magic to help with a location where those who are minded to do so can /slowdance all night :)

Radio Free D'ni 78 Lazy Days

Today (October 15th) we will be broadcasting a show with the title Lazy Days, consisting of slower tracks, something a bit calmer for the autumn. As often happens, once the idea was formed, we found a lot of suitable material, so if the idea meets with success, there could be more shows like it.

I hope you will come and join us at 8pm UK time (13 KI), Sunday 15th October, on Radio Free D'ni.

Use the links at the top of the http://radiofreedni.org page to listen.

or http://www.urutunes.com and choose Radio Free D'ni...
Or you can plug http://aegura.harriman4.com:8000/stream.mp3 into your audio player

In game we will be on the public plaza or in Second Life visit TJ's Dance Hall where our friend Ainia DaFente will host the rebroadcast into SL.

The playlists for the show are now published on the station's website

Do let us know if you liked the set and would like to hear more like it.
The next show will be Turn It Up!, tracks whose first few chords strike an immediate association and make you want to say "Turn it UP!" - just so you can hear it right, or dance to it.

On Sunday (29th October 2017) Radio Free D'ni will broadcast a show entitled Turn It Up! Featuring songs with instantly recognisable hooks, that make you want to turn it up and sit and listen - or maybe dance and listen - better bring your dancing shoes anyway. It will definitely not be all fast and loud, or full of pop-chart also-rans, we hope that you'd know us better than that by now...

I hope you will come and join us at 8pm UK time, Sunday 15th October, on Radio Free D'ni.
Due to the inescapable law of Murphy, the UK and Europe changes to DST on the morning of that day (but the US changes one week later) so it will be (this one time only) 12 KI when the show starts, that is midday Mountain Time. Please make a note to turn up 1 hour earlier, if you can... Preshow will start 30 minutes before the main show.

Playlist for the show is now published on the Radio Free D'ni website

32 listeners was our highpoint for this show, very gratifying even after I'd made that timing mistake.

Coming up next Sunday, 12th November, from Radio Free D'ni, Biting The Hand That Feeds You, a set of tracks by naughty artists who are fed up with the music business getting in the way of their creativity and, basically, tell then to go away, go very far away, and in a painful manner. Surprisingly, all of the artists continued to be successful, which must have annoyed the moguls no end. We have examples from The Who, Dire Straits, Joni Mitchell, The Kinks and of course Pink Floyd.

Join us at 8pm UK time (13 KI), Sunday 12th November, on Radio Free D'ni.

Use the links at the top of the http://radiofreedni.org page to listen.

In game we will be on the public plaza or in Second Life visit TJ's Dance Hall where Ainia DaFente will host the rebroadcast into SL.

On Sunday 26th there will be a second show by Radio Free D'ni with a theme of By The Book. With stunning originality I have called it Chapter 2. Tracks will all have literary connections, some stronger than others. We've collected a lot of material and there will be a substantial postshow.

Xenipher's Race will take place immediately before the show, in MOULa, and our preshow music will thus be the music for the race, which I can't tell you about because it's secret :) But it will start at 1200 KI.

Unusually, I will be broadcasting the Xenipher's race music and Ed will take over the stream at about five minutes before the show start at 1300 KI (8 pm UK time). We have managed a handover without dropping the stream before now, but if we mess it up, you may have to reconnect to the stream, or restart your music player.

This will be a mixed set, there will be less of the fast and noisy stuff. Apart from bits of Iron Maiden, Hawkwind and Abney Park that is. Some Steve Hackett, Gentle Giant and Mike Oldfield too. A varied collection, as usual.
