RE: Earthquakes and whether they happened or not...

Heritage Night and the Documents were framed in an In-Character perspective. The main idea about Heritage Night and the Documents that resulted was that it was originally supposed to be different hosts telling their perspectives of the history they lived through. And the thing about in-character versus out-of-character perspectives is that people viewed things differently.

HN was supposed to have different views of events every week, and it was supposed to bring all sorts of various perspectives together of the various events. Historical errors in some retellings were supposed to get fact-checked by other people's perspectives. We'd have different volumes of people talking about this subject and that subject and their memories of their time there. Of course, that ideal never congealed, despite my best efforts.

It was never meant to be a single definitive history resource in a single volume.

Since a lot of stuff had to be scraped together from where it existed already... What we're left with isn't 100% accurate, and it's hard to fix it so they are... A lot of sources, IC and OOC alike, are long gone now, which makes it frustrating when I realize there are actual errors that never got double checked against other people's memories. It pains me to think of all the other stories that never got archived in historical document, just... lost to time...

So, my apologies for any historical errors that exist in there.

I think the "earthquake" comments are referring to hhhenry's statements, not the Heritage Documents. I ran a quick search for the word "earthquake" in the Heritage Documents and found nothing. The closest thing I saw after a quick scan was mention of "seismic activity" that led to the creation of the crack during Scars Week.

The Heritage Documents, it should be noted, are unofficial narratives built from the recollections of two explorers--myself and Calum--and should not be taken as absolute canon, as we may have remembered some things wrong, or unintentionally misinterpreted some things. I believe they are 99% accurate at least, but it is possible that there are inaccuracies.

/me runs back into sheltered isolation...
