Just wish I knew where the best pizza place was/is around here. I'm still looking myself. I guess that is one thing I miss from the East, really good pizza

How's the pizza at Tomato Street in Spokane? Is the place still there? Just curious... a bunch of us from The Cavern Today podcast celebrated the last day of Mysterium '06 with an excellent dinner there. I recall that I had a "Smashed Sicilian" sandwich, so I didn't sample the pizza.

On the other hand, some of us went to The Pizza Factory in Wallace, Idaho the same weekend, and were amazed. That was one excellent pizza!

On GD's blog site, in the pictures, is a picture of a "rolling pizza kitchen" that delivered pizza to a party at Cyan.

Re Kierra's "How about we just stick to pizza?" - I'm not sure they'd like pizza with us stuck to it.

I've yet to actually make it there myself since moving here in January (so I can't vouch for the food personally), but I can confirm that it's still there. I may have to investigate. For science, of course ;).

My personal favorite pizza is probably Papa Murphy's, but that's bake-at-home, which probably wouldn't cut it for feeding a couple dozen hungry developers and their support staff ;). Pizza Pipeline seems to be the take-out of choice for large orders in the limited experience I've had with attending pizza parties around here, but it's not my personal favorite, and is kinda pricey to boot.

yuk yuk yuk, we've got a bunch of comeeeedians in this lot

Yes, that pizza truck was what I had in mind, If I recall correctly, I heard rumors that they loved the pizza from there.

Also if I recall correctly, Ashtar lives in that general area, he may know more about what is available. I'll poke him with a stick and see if he can offer us his wisdom :)

I was thinking a good time-frame to aim for is sometime between thanksgiving and christmas, what do you guys think?

I can positively confirm that Tomato Street is still there. I had dinner there with some friends Saturday :) Although you can have some food catered, like Longhorn BBQ, that might be a bit spendy.

And although I don't mind helping, I've done enough of these already. It would be nice if we could get some of the other Spokane locals involved like Jubie722 and Ling :)
