I just saw a new gametap commercial on tv, I immediately recongnized it as a scene from Nobelen from myst 5 but it didn't look exactly the same, but then it went to the last part giving some games that were part of their collection, naturally I thought that they'd say myst 5 since they showed part of it, but they only showed Myst: Uru Online... so that leads me to think that maybe Nobelen is coming our way?

If true, that could be very interesting news. Noloben was frequently mentioned during Season One, and the concept has been around since Uru began, so it is one of the more likely ages to appear eventually. And it's certainly exciting to hear any suggestion of new Uru footage of any kind.

I didn't see the commercial so I can't really comment, but is it the old concept-type screenie with the avatar looking out at the water by the big creature skeleton?

This?

If so, it's still good to see Uru stuff, but it's old.

If not... then I'm very excited. :)

jetuser,

Can you say what station or channel you saw the ad on?

The "skeleton" is the remains of a boat. Presumably Esher's. This would be very interesting if it were true and not just a marketing thing. Perhaps we'll see some news soon.

I saw a comercial for GT on SciFi last night while watching Flash Gorden. It didn't show anything specifically in MOUL, but was showing a list of their most popular games. It showed some sort of green back ground with a knob turning and in a white box, text would change with each click, Sam & Max showed up of course, but so did, Myst Online: Uru Live.

Other than that, the only commercials I've seen (and yes, even yesterday I saw it on Spike TV and on SciFi) is the old one that shows people running around the cavern and stuff. They are still showing that commercial.

www.mystonline.com (It's at the left)

BTW, I'd recommend changing the title of this thread to something more catchy... like "Noloben footage seen in new Gametap trailer"... this way it would attract more people, and hopefully among them there will be someone else who has seen it and can confirm it...

I must be cursed, because I watch the Sci-Fi channel regularly, and have not seen a single MO:UL ad.

However, the fact that ads are still running, and that there is a possible glimmer of new content revealed in the ad, gives me a great deal of hope...

Back in D'mala, I remember Blake saying to expect a "media blitz" in the future for Myst Online. While that never actually happened, perhaps now is when they've chosen to increase advertising? I'm hearing more people saying they're seeing MO:UL ads on T.V. Whereas when MO:UL started, the ads seemed few and far between.
