Exactly this.

I want to keep my low key number I've got earlier, for obvious reasons, as I'm still proud to have it!

Those of us who have been around for long (and yes, I go back well before 2010) have had all kinds of KI numbers and started over multiple times. I think the last thing a low number can still signify - besides being a Cyan employee or test player - is a passion to be in Uru. There's plenty of that around.

I don't care what my Ki number is.

but interesting point Lagrider made about gauging experience. I had that a few months back when I was in the cavern, someone asked me was I an old timer due to my KI number.

Ok well most people don't care what the Ki number is, which in my opionion is a good thing.(since it means we don't have to worry about 'bumping the Ki number up').

On the topic of experience, I was once asked if I was a greeter cause I had a low Ki number. The concolusion that a low Ki# is eqaul to a lot of eperince is a false one. For example: players can sign up first day, get a very low number and then come back a year leter with never having solved any of the ages.

Regarding the "I'd like a low KI number so I can remember it / makes it easy for someone else to remember" I'd like to make 2 points ...
1) How many of you memorise phone numbers? or birth dates? They're numbers roughly 10 digits long.
2) If it's for grey hats to use to, say, warp people around ... MOULa has copy & paste functionality now, so numbers could be copied from KI mails or pasted into chat.

EDIT: I voted "I don't care what my KI number is" ... because I don't.

Is it wrong of me to say that the only phone number i memorized was my home phone? ._.

(Don't get me started on birth dates. I only remember three and that's it. .n. don't give me that look plz)

I think the lowest batch this time around where the testers that came in before launch- there was maybe 15? 20? of us... it was fun, awkward, and somewhat surreal to hop in cavern and have people go ZOMG at my KI number. "Yes, I've been around freaky forever... no I'm nobody important."

What I'm really going to miss is my membership in the original DRC Bevin, with pics taken by DRC on the imager, and their names still occasionally showing up on the visitors list. With that gone, it really does cut our last ties with the DRC era.

::geriatric high-five with Vid:: Mind if I cut in line with you, old buddy? ;)

Eleri: Yeah, that's a tough one. Last I recall the Great Tree's hood still had some nostalgic things on our imager. The DRC stuff is harder to get over.

I still want a low(ish) KI number because I associate it with a connection to "the good old days" even though we've been through... how many of these wipes now, since Prologue? That's about it, though. When people recognize long-standing community members by name, that's the better feeling. :D

Man, I can never get in on these things early. On MOULa day, my computer had a total failure, and on "Oh No, Not Again" day, I just keep stack dumping. Maybe I'll have better luck once I get home.

That stinks! Also, "Oh No, Not Again Day" is officially what I'm calling it from now on.
