It is my great pleasure to announce the release of . Korman is the next-generation age creation plugin for Blender 2.74 (and above). Korman aims to make the age creator's job easier by automating many tasks that the PyPRP (Blender 2.49) user had to do by hand (eg lightmapping) and by removing obtuse elements, such as AlcScript, with intuitive replacements, such as . Korman exports your age *much* faster than PyPRP ever did, and we're still looking into speeding it up even more. It always did annoy me to have to wait forever to test something :)

Although I'm the face you see releasing things more often than not, there's no way Korman could be what it is today if it were just me. I'd like to express thanks to Doobes for putting in many hours of banging away at Korman and showing me and single-handedly writing all of the Korman wiki pages. Also kudos go to Deledrius who continues to point out cool Blender features I hadn't noticed and who provides workflow inspiration. And last, but not least, all contributors to libHSPlasma, including (but not limited to): Branan, Diafero, Deledrius, Paradox, and Zrax.

For more details, please see the official on the GoW forum.

Truly an awesome event, Hoikas! (and Doobes and Deledrius and....)

This will make a big difference to the community.
Thanks so much, I can't wait to try it out!

Let me know what you think--there's still quite a bit of work to be done and time for changes :)

Now all we need is a biofeedback interface between the graphics program on the pc and your brain.
Imagine an age, put on your biofeedback helmet, and let the technology do the rest.

:? come to think of it...........even with that level of technology it would still take months and years to produce anything worthwhile :|

As someone who has helped test Korman's functions in quite a few ways (and bugging the heck out of Hoikas in the process :P ), I can safely say that it's a GIANT step forward as far as Age building.

The removal of AlcScript in favor of nodes and simple modifiers should make the process of wiring your Age a LOT more user-friendly. Plus, the ability to save to three different versions of URU, including for MOULa, with one drop-down menu, is the very definition of convenient!

If you've ever wanted to give Age building a try, now is the time! The best thing you can do is jump right in and see what you can create, using the various tutorials for Blender on the internet and for Korman on the Guild of Writers wiki.

Don't be discouraged if it doesn't look all that great at the beginning. We all must start somewhere. Seriously...this was my first attempt back in the day:

A lot of work, some trial and error, and a LOT of starting and exiting URU, and you'll get the hang of it before you know it. ;)

Thanks everyone! I'm sure age makers will find this very useful.
