Please take a look at the symbol blocked in red in the following image from Myst V:

I feel like I have seen that symbol somewhere around URU but I cannot remember where. Can anyone tell me where? Screenshots would also be helpful. Or am I crazy and That symbol exists nowhere in URU? Thanks!

I'm wondering if maybe you're confusing it with the Maintainer symbol, which is a book with an eye above it? Similar but not quite the same. I personally don't recall seeing that symbol anywhere in Uru, but that doesn't mean it's not there.

Looks to me like a variant of the book on the well piece.

You've got the line bisecting it (although this one is in the background rather then the foreground) and you've got the general book shape along with a circle versus squiggly lines.

Definitely seems like an alternate version which for me helps prove the theory (originally suggested by someone else) that the well will control the bahro like the tablet.

It reminds me of a "fountain pen" symbol I'm sure I've seen somewhere, but can't think of where...

I believe you are thinking of the book icon all over Gahreesen (I guess it's the Maintainer symbol that Jishin mentioned) - or is that too obvious? I think I have seen it all over URU - but then again I have also been playing Myst V recently. But in Gahreesen this symbol on and above the elevator door is all over the age:

It certainly reminds me of that - that symbol is also on the heek tables.

It is not the maintainer's symbol that I am thinking of. And I believe that I remember it being yellow. Like a yellow tinted room or something. I am going to the Gahreesen meeting rooms to check out that theory, the fountain pen certainly reminds me of it.

This symbol in the Gahreesen meeting rooms must have been what I was thinking of. Thanks all! If anyone knows of any other symbols that look like this post them here!

Heeey, though - I actually recognize that symbol there on the stones, but not because of THAT aspect of Myst V...

Myst V spoilers kinda: Isn't that the same as the symbol representing Yeesha's teacher Calam in some of the Myst V bahroglyphs?
Check out the brand new spoiler tags :D

And yeah, the Book symbol on the floating "well" pieces is/was(?!) Calam's name symbol... but from the Yeesha story in PoTS... and it drives me nuts  I wonder if that aspect is just going to be "rearraged" storywise, since it can be assumed (also clearly form the Myst V journals) that the guy is dead! I sure hope we'll be able to see the Yeesha story glyphs in MOUL again, somehow.
