This is just a reminder that April 15th is fast approaching.

If any US citizens or residents have taken any gold from the Kadish Vault, you are required to file a 1099-D'ni along with your regular income tax forms.

Further information can be found on the IRS website.

I consider the gold as cash and have only spent it on my online URU habit. Plus I've already filled my taxes. King George will never know.

What if I leave the gold in some off-world, extra-dimensional location?

Then, I technically haven't brought it into the country yet...

Due to 15 April being a Sunday this year and 16 April is a Washington, D.C. holiday, the actual date to file by is 17 April.
That gives you two more days to stash things into off world vaults.

IRS FAQ on 17 April

Good point Butch. Taxpayers do have a few extra days.

Rev, just be careful. Remember the Government knows about the cavern. For all we know the President himself could be online and exploring in any of the ages.

The IRS is pretty tricky too. They obviously know about the vault or my tax advisor wouldn't have asked me if I'd taken anything from the vault and proceeded to inform me of the 1099-D'ni form.

The other thing to consider is that you are taking the gold out of the vault and up to the surface so it does pass through US territory.

Oh, and if you've won any poker games with the Bahro, you better claim those winnings as well.

Nah, the government doesn't know anything about the Cavern, or we'd know it by now. Check out this thread: http://forums.drcsite.org/viewtopic.php?t=1907

I am just waiting for the local tax sharks to send me a personal property tax bill for my Relto. I am wondering if it will include all the other ages that go along with it. The ones that are my Instance...

I am think that if I keep my Relto book out of their juristiction then they can't claim I owe them for it. Anyone know which states/counties are not considering Relto and all attached/dettached structures as personel property?

That's a good point Sudre. If you've improved your relto and increased it's value, then your property tax could go up too.

However, since there was so much destruction in the cavern, perhaps it could be declared a state of emergency and we could receive Federal Funds.
