Oh man. If the Meeting Place was an IRC channel, both Sydney and Ethan would have been kicked by the ops by about halfway through the log, and banned by the 2/3 mark. But then, of course, they would claim it happened because the ops are in on the "conspiracy" and they were "getting too close to the truth." Sigh.

Yes, Zedra was the creator of Canadian's Bevin. It is now the hood for one of my avvies, as well. She is always very kind and helpful whenever a new player wanders by looking for some sense out of the confusion, and a lot do come by. I am often in that Bevin myself regardless of which avvie I am playing. We have many explorers who choose to hang out there, even tho they are not neighbours of this Bevin. I think it is significant that this Bevin is often on the top 8 on the nexus list, when you sort for population. There are a lot of neighbourhoods, some having been around for while, that only occaisionally make the list.

While I will agree that people think of Canadians in general as being a polite group of people, the tone and atmosphere in this Bevin is very much down to her and the example she has set. But then she is a Maritimer, and they are considered polite even by other Canadians.

In response to all the comments regarding Cate's visits yesterday, particularly the one to Canadian's Bevin, I was just glad we were finally able to ask questions and receive answers, however evasive some of those answers were (and always are!). :) Personally, I don't really find I need to always ask my own questions of every DRC rep that stops by, but rather just be given the opportunity to follow something that resembles a dialogue rather than a scrum. Thanks to the visitors to Canadian's that picked up on the mood there and just asked all the things I wanted to know too!

O! Canada! O! Canada! Hats off to the Canadians! Very nice Chat with Cate, got some answers, didn't have to hear repeated rubbish about about light bulbs, or is it lightbulbs. Anyway, Good Job!

I need to stop by the Canadian's Bevin for some coffee!

Do you guys have that Tim Hortons set up in your Bevin yet? I'm down to my last can here in Nebraska and a large double-double with a Canadian Maple donut sounds pretty good about now.

Also, check out THIS thread for a related Relto page "discovery."

(04/26 16:26:06) Ethan Hunt: yes, we do. But we do want them safe

Anyone find it peculiar that this is almost the exact opposite from Prologue? Back then it was the Explorers who wanted more and faster, and the DRC that was calling "Unsafe! Unsafe!" Now, in a weirdly twisted way, things have turned around...

Do not worry Reverend Vader. If they don't have any, they will place a rush order to the nearest Tim Horton or Dunkin Donoughts... just for you.

It should perhaps be pointed out that there were polite people at the other two Bevins. I know of at least one, and that there were others. They were among the ones who didn't say anything, and so didn't get noticed...but they were there. Being polite. And listening. :)

The third meeting seems to have been much better organised (like, at all) and my compliments to those responsible.
