Only oven 4 burns out. And it's a matter of time and temperature. Basically a setting of 50 on one requires less than 16 on the other; 25 - 25 is kosher too.

All ovens can dip below zero depending on time and temperature.

None of the ovens are the same.

Each slider on each oven has a max value e.g. setting the amount in oven 4 to anything above 41 has no additional effect.

The scale of each slider on each oven is different.

Wow, you must have cooked alot of pellets to figure out all that! ;) Or perhaps you've had a vision or two?

The same as in TPOTS. The explosion looks even nicer in MOUL. IngisKahn posted the recipe.

So far I have:
Exploders
Steam and bubbles
White lighters (of various strengths)
Orange lighters (of various strengths)
Floaters (not sure of this one)

Does anyone know of any more types?

That's it, the effect corresponds the 10 levels displayed on the meter.
1 - Steam & Bubbles HIGH
2 - Steam & Bubbles MED
3 - Steam & Bubbles LOW or Floater (if the pellet is close to borderline)
4 - Orange Glow LOW
5 - Orange Glow MED
6 - Orange Glow HIGH
7 - White Glow
8 - Boom LOW
9 - Boom MED
10 - Boom HIGH

Only the glow states give you points with 6 being the best.

Um, hm. Has anybody made screenshots for the 3 different types of orange? I made several batches, but my orange always looks the same so i don't know if i got a bright, medium or low orange.

No explosion for me. :(

Pellet chamber

32 / 50 / 10 (left hand machine) ... 32 / 50 / 25
32 / 50 / 25 .................................. 32 / 50 / 25

Elevator

What am I doing wrong? I averaged 930 and an orange glow instead.

If you have a look from the place where the water-tanks are located to the tank filled completely with water, and track then where the belonging tube feeds to, you will see that the "stronger" oven (supplied with water, the other are not) is not located nearby the Pellet chamber (mountain-side) but to the other exit (water-side)

I know someone who tried the 50-50-50 recipe a day or so ago, and not only did they get bubbles and steam, but they also lost all of their points.

At the time, they felt it must have been the "or worse" that the message talked about, but I am wondering if it was a bug.

They have logged in since and have not regained what they lost.

Has anyone heard of other people losing all of their points with a recipe such as this?

I used this recipe, but didn't lose any points. If this person is saying the truth, it's a bug, and I recommend submitting a ticket about it.

I've used 50 50 50 without losing points.

tachzusamm, would you please be explicit about which oven I need to set, if not top left in my post? Thanks.

I ticketed a bug last week that causes your KI pellet score to cycle back and forth between two scores -- current and some older score (which might be zero for that person). I got a reply asking me if I had multiple avatars (I do), so it might be related to that.

OH yes - I have a different friend with that same bug. It is annoying him enough that I am the one dropping all his pellets into the City Silo at present. Shame about that.

But although he does have a second avatar, he never uses it - and that avatar would have a score of zero. Instead, his score seems to alternate between the last score and the new score after a pellet is dropped. He has taken a FRAPS of it to add to his ticket and I have seen it - very strange.

Thanks, Ingis! That verifies what I've been seeing. (I neglected to correlate the tester level with the effect... probably would have gotten there eventually :) )

Once this all becomes history and the need to make pellets passes, I hope you can write up your studies about how exactly these ovens behave and how their settings contribute to the pellet scores. Since it makes no sense to me why we are dropping pellets in a tank in an industrial area not in the same cavern as the city and some 4 miles away from the GZ and 933 feet BELOW the level of the lake, my only interest is in trying to figure out the mathematical relationships between oven settings and pellet output. Makes you wonder why they are bothering to test the light level down by the docks when we aren't even dropping the pellets in that lake. :?:

I filed a related bug last night -- perhaps this is what support was thinking of. I logged out and then logged in with a different avatar, and the old KI counter value (the one from the first avatar) was still visible in the second.

(This was the "Log out" option, not "Quit". When I quit Uru entirely and restarted it, the problem was gone.)

Support said logs were helpful in this case.

belford - my friend thinks you are most likely correct, that they were seeing another one of their avatar's score.

Thanks for your replies!

silly question, but why do we get 5 pellets when we have only 4 ovens?

Why do any given oven effect the others. Basicly if I set one oven one way and another way. why would either effect the other?

If they do thats rather stupid. Whats the point of having 4 ovens if all you have to do is set one? One oven could be built to cook as many pellets as you needed.

just seems rather silly and a waste.
