During a commercial on Family Guy tonight I saw a GameTap advertisement. They flashed several games that they said were available on GameTap. One was Myst Online / URU Live.

GameTap is still advertising Myst Online / URU Live.

Maybe they want to use advertisements which promote other games and don’t mind advertising URU while it is still available.

I suspect it's all about timing. It can take months to prepare advertising and book space, which can be very expensive to cancel.

The GT Marketing department probably had a very small window of time to make a "go...no go" decision on whether to include MOUL in this advertising campaign. It appears they choose to go ahead.

In fact, you're probably correct CE, these ads may have been a factor in the decision to give the game a 60 day reprieve allowing GT to capitalize on the marketing expenditure. Now that the decision to cancel has been finalized it's highly unlikely MOUL will be mentioned in the next ad campaign.

Not just highly unlikely, but surely... illegal? Misleading advertising and all that...
