I always wondered who came up with the idea of putting a marker below the rope bridge

I did find jumping from the other side is a bit easer, but not unlike many of the puzzles threw-out the Myst Series a spoiler don't always make it that much easer. Between that and the Mechanics of the puzzles and is a few of the many things that has kept me hooked

The calibrations markers were set by Cyan in the same way we make our own marker quests. They had to do it that way to make sure the games were solvable. So they must have simply dropped off the bridge and placed the marker.

I remember a Cyantist visiting during D'mala and confessing he made those games but I forgot who it was. Could have been Josh Staub maybe... :? Now don't go off to Disney and lynch him.

For the last marker of mission 3, which side of the bridge should we step off of?

I used to do it by jumping off the side nearest the library but after more times than I can count, I cannot get the marker this time.

What time do you want to try next? I'm sure someone can help you with this. (I could, but timezones may make it difficult).

I haven't tried the Calibration Markers yet in MOUL:again, but you could try if these maps are still correct :)
(huge spoilers though!)

Try this:
As you are coming from the Concert Hall side of the bridge, walk over to the right side railing and slide along it until you are at the edge of the walkway. Gently tap your forward key until you just slide off the edge. If you are right up against the railing when you slide over the edge you should hit that marker. The one in mission 8 is a bit more difficult  .

The jump from the Library side is nearly impossible. I did it exactly once in about 25 tries.

After tearing out my hair at Ki Calibration Mission #8 and making the 10th attempt to get the last marker, I made a chance discovery.

First, some spoiler warnings about location and the method of getting the #)(%$*() marker.

Location:
it's under the wooden bridge (leaving the Concert Hall Foyer) on the left side.
Method:
You'll want to activate your control panel and make the following order of selections:
    Navigation
    Advanced
    Go Where I Click

Then resume the game.

Once that is done, ease your way to the edge the ledge, using your mouse to tilt down until you can see the marker. Then, use your mouse cursor to aim at the marker and hold your primary button down. You'll go right to the marker. :) After you get it, return your Navigation options to normal if you want to. Then, type /dance several times until people ask if you've lost your mind.
I found it easier to run-jump from the other side.

I tried that a few times and gave up. Too bad you can't text "AAaaaaaaaa......" as you go falling down. ;)

I found it easiest to turn around and slowly walk backwards

I finally got it by standing by the railing, not touching it though, and stepping off backwards, slowly.

Occasionally half-ish or so of the markers in a mission won't load. Leave and reenter the city to get them to refresh.

Thank you for the reminder!

There appeared to be a marker buffer size. You could only do so many missions before the game seized up and you had to restart the one you were on. I think that only logging out and logging back in fixed this.
