I wanted to add to the ferry terminal exploration a link to the colab architecture site where they have a concept picture http://colabarchitecture.com/colabstudio-designexplorationsl (Can't seem to link to the individual picture, only the portfolio. Look in Design Explorations under Cyan, number 14.) It shows a mysterious shape underwater with the usual indecipherable label. I know the picture has been discussed on another thread some time ago but wanted to make sure it was here as well. As we have seen before there are crucial differences between the drawing and what we find in the cavern but it confirms that SOMETHING was thought to be put underwater there.

Hmmmm... the link is now dead.

Thanks Henry! Dang. Fixed. I'd hoped to link to the individual picture but that doesn't seem to work, only to the portfolio. That'll teach me to check the links.

Super Researcher to the rescue!

When I first found it a while ago I thought the "mystery object" was two of the arms of the Guild Hall, but looking at the map of the cavern I think maybe it's a structure you can see on the far left side near the top.

Here's a small feature of Ae'gura that may have been discussed previously, but I have not seen it: the vertical bars running through the horizontal lintel beams above the doors in the Mall area.
These are symmetrical, with a matching set on the opposite side of each doorway.

The number and size of these bars may be something as simple as a common D'ni system for addressing businesses or institutions, or may mean something else entirely.
Or they may be just decorations; I don't know.

In any case, running from left to right we see
1. 3 bars above, a long and short one below the beam.
2. 2 bars above, 2 medium below
3. 2 bars above, one short bar below (the Gallery door)
4. no bars on the circular doorway with no lintel
5. one bar above, 1 medium below
Image

Is this feature seen elsewhere in D'ni?
Has it been discussed before?
