A friend and I recently finished up Ahnonay and Er'cana (including the whole deal with the cleft and K'veer and the horribly anticlimactic destroyed Myst library -- seriously, I had heard you get to go to Myst Island as a reward, so I was very disappointed when I realized that's all there was), and I know there's supposed to be a third part to solve and get to the Tree. We couldn't figure out what we were supposed to do next though, so we sneaked a peek at a hint guide that said we needed to find some numbers in the Watcher's Sanctuary, but we haven't been able to find any such place. Where does this exist?

That puzzle only exists in the offline version of the game. (_Uru: Complete Chronicles_)

A more satisfying return-to-Myst scene can be found at the end of _Myst 5_.

Even if you play through URU: Complete Chronicles, you'll end up in the same "Myst", only the path to get there will be different.

For Myst 5 EoA, sure it will be a different experience but bring an umbrella.

Yea, I was dissapointed about not being able to get to the tree. The online version of the Watcher's Sanctuary actually still has the door and button to push there. I think Cyan should remove that if you can't use it.

Shorah iPenguin,

If you and your friend want to play PoTS together online, you can head over to the Deep Island shard. It will take a bit of work to set up but is well worth it, especially since all the fan-created games are available there too. And if you guys want to check out the Gahreesen wall, try The Open Cave, another fan-run shard (you'll want the version based on MOULa instead of UruCC).

Happy exploring!!

Actually, the whole puzzle and tree are still there (you can get there by using the H'uru client.) so if Cyan was to do anything with it (which I doubt they would) they'd probably open it up.

If you know how to use the magic bots, they can get you to the tree as well. Not much to see there in standard Uru Live though.

How to do with Magic Bot (#ki :21418998) or with Mimi Bot (#ki: 21420380) ?

First, wait until one of the two robots is in Magic City.
To find out if one of the robots is present in this age, PM them Hi or Hello.
If this is the case, link to him: PM him Link (or Meet).
When you get to Magic City, PM the bot: Visit GT.

And you will be able to reach the Great Tree.
Have fun!

I just want to add that "The Watcher's Pub" being a public age, it's strickly prohibited to use commands with the help of a plclient (H'uru client) over there.

Obviously this doesn't apply to any age like "Magic City" where the Pub & Great Tree prps have been imported.

BTW, the MOUL's version of the pub is non functional. You won't have the same awesome experience once on the Tree side as you can get with the URU:CC's version.

I meant using a private instance of the pub which you can create by use of the H'uru client.

Which is something you should probably not be doing. It's safer to do a little bit of flying in public than make age instances that are beyond the scope of what normally happens.

I would tend to prefer importing the prps in whatever private age you are. Once you are done, you just need to remove them if you were alone or ask everyone to close their game & restart on a new session.

Sure you won't have any animation, importing a prp only gets you a frozen state of the area imported, anyway, the MOUL's Watcher's Pub is already frozen so it won't matter much.

I suspect this discussion has gone way past what the original poster can make sense of. :)

That's what usually happens to threads. Just look at the kickstarter thread on the Cyan forums, nobody expected that to become the central discussion place for an ARG.

I don't think anyone really expected an ARG full-stop.
