In Watcher's Words 2:94 - 97 it says:

The Maker uses the made who are willing.
He provides a light to discern the willing from the wicked.
A light in the cavern eases fear and provides comfort for the willing.
A light in the cavern causes the wicked to scurry to the darkness.

First line - "the made" could be anyone, Bahro or people, but in this case I think he is speaking specifically of the Bahro. The "willing" ones are what we call the good ones.

Second line - if the willing and the wicked are the good Bahro and the bad Bahro, then more light will help us tell them apart. Yes, light could be figurative here, meaning understanding or insight, but I think this is more literal. I heard an unconfirmed report during a recent episode that explorers encountered both good and bad Bahro in their Reltos. They said the good Bahro seemed to be a little lighter in color.

Third & fourth line - I believe as the cavern becomes lighter and lighter with the improved state of the algae, that the bad Bahro will scurry away. Perhaps they don't like the light, or perhaps it helps the good Bahro defeat them in some way.

This probably won't happen for awhile, it will take some time to restore the former state of the lake algae, but I think this will eventually solve the problem of the bad Bahro...at least in the cavern.

I sincerely hope the Bahronoir are not vulnerable to light.

So the KI light, once it works properly, could be something of a personal Bahro shield...

:lol: "Ummm, wait right there a second, attacking Bahronoir. I just have to link to Descent for a minute. I'll be right back!"

Hey, alright! I read through the Watcher's Words carefully a few days after the Pub was released, and that passage stood out to me too - it's still up on my hood's imager. :D

It's remarkably applicable. Despite all of the setbacks and content repurposing, I'm betting Cyan still has quite a few storylines to continue - the Watcher's Words almost certainly contain a few hints at what was planned before the plug was pulled before, and I suspect some of those storylines are making their way back.

There's another great passage that sounds disturbingly like a summary of the episodes to date... let me dig it up.

EDIT: Here's we are. Book 2, lines 107-115
Quote:
What is this invasion?
For the fourth time, they come.
Two come to war;
Two run from war;
Two die;
Two live although they kill.
All of them;
Above whom are none
They believe.

"What is this invasion" could be the bahronoir, and "for the fourth time" suggests that the bahro have had conflicts in the past.
Sharper (and maybe Nick, or someone we don't know yet?) "come to war"
Engberg qualifies as running from war.
Two die is pretty clear - Wheely and Rose.
And from their on out it's scary speculation.

Well, it could also just be about the fall of D'ni, but I like to speculate. :)

Interesting interpretation, but I think those verses refer to the Fall of D'ni:

"Two come to war" A'Gaeris & Veovis
"Two run from war" T'iana & Aitrus/Gehn
"Two die" A'gaeris & Aitrus/Veovis
"Two live although they kill" Ti'ana & Gehn
