Question: Can I get an installer when Uru officially launches to reinstall the game on Vista and at the same time keep my current explorer name and his progression in the game?
Thanks

I think the explorers are stored on the server. So it should work.

No, the folder contains:

* audio and video settings
* chat logs
* debug logs for bug reporting
* local copies of your KI shots
* images of your avatars for the avatar screen

Everything else ist stored in the vault: avatars, game state, buddy list, relto pages, solved ages ...

If you perform an upgrade install you should be free and clear no matter what.

You might want to hold off, though, as drivers are currently a major stumbling block. Video card and sound card drivers are still buggy as fiery abyss, and many printer/scanner/webcam/gamepad/joystick drivers simply do not exist.

Older versions of software that need low-level access don't work unless they've been updated to work with Vista. So you need to check for updates on things like Anti-Virus software and CD/DVD recording software.

Nvidia has yet to get SLI or DX10 working properly under Vista, and ATi is having issues even getting a DX10 part out the door.

The Vista Upgrade Advisor does a pretty good job of analyzing all the hardware and software you have, and telling you where you might have compatibility problems. Download it from: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

Thanks for the info. I made a dual boot setup and I encounter many installation problems with software, but the sound and video drivers are working fine now. The compatibility mode i would have overlooked. Thanks again.
