I just saw the guild hall concept for the first time. And decided it just had to be built.

Roughed in most of the upper section. Still really low poly.

Wow, cool! Even that little bit is exciting because it brings the Guild Hall closer to reality.

This thread has a bunch of Guild Hall concept images:

Very nice! See, I'd like to see un-used concepts given a new life in OS Uru. People could help finish what Cyan started (with Cyan's permission).

And honestly, I just want Mr. Staub to send me concepts like the Guild Hall's to drool over.

Here's today's update.

Roughed in the bottom and crown now. Not 100% I got the proportions on the crown right, so I will revisit that.

Also I was taking a look at the map in the cavern today. I had always thought that the Guild Hall was down the corridor with the curtain. Now that I know what it looks like I realize that it actually on top. Taking a look up sure enough there it was, a very rough guild hall sitting on top. Caught me by surprise.

Wow, that's incredible! I surely hope that you're planning to go all the way with this project and create a textured fan-version of the Guild Hall!

Heck, maybe we could use this model (if it does well enough) to replace that rotating paper-thin image at the top of the Cavern.

Working on detailing the bottom. Think I got a good deal of it done. I'm modeling it perfect and once that is done, then start cutting/breaking stuff up. This model would be way too high poly to put it in the current cavern. This thing would need its own seperate 'age'. Besides I wouldn't want to mess with Cyan's stuff anyway.

Its my hope to be able to finish this model complete with texturing. But alot of that has do with circumstances of coarse. Like finding actual work so I don't get evicted from my apartment for one.

Certainly looks much more impressive than this from PoTS: (I think it was there in ABM but easier for me to get to in PoTS)[spoiler]

You sir, are my hero. This looks absolutely beautiful.

If you didn't want to use the whole thing (excuse me for not being proficient in Blender), couldn't you theoretically scale the entire thing down and put it in an Age as almost a museum piece?

Honestly, even without the textures, save this thing when it's all fleshed out and modeled. It's just... so beautiful...

My reaction can be summed up nicely.

"Wow, that's a nice rough model. I love how he got the windows and everything.. better than the flat sprite we got. Well, it's a shame he hasn't started on the other part of it, probably end up abandoned before--" Image 1, image 2. View.
"... "
 Very nice work! So, what professional company hired you? Must be one, right? :P

So, if I'm correct, inside each "branch" is a literal hall, like a court hall, in which the guilds do business?

In some of the pictures you can read the notes. One says there are 6 branches with 3 guilds in each branch... 18 guilds in all.

Business is obviously done upstairs... I have great hopes there is a wine cellar underground...

Awesome model, Lehm.
