Sorry to diverge from your very first post, but I just read your sig.

It reads: .tomanomE biv KenEt piSoEt b'set
house-your-(plural) all are-they belong-they to-us.

Which appears to be a translation of "all your base are belong to us". However, I have to question two points.

First off, you are using the word "tomahn", which means house or home, and that does not have the connotation of base, which means a military installation as used in the game the quote comes from. The compound contraction gahreesen, which can be translated as garrison or fortress, is a much closer match. Second, you use "eet" after both "kehn" and "pishoeht", and that seems like an unnecessary duplication to me. I would think that the extension of "kehn" is not needed.

That would give you:

.garEsenomE biv Ken piSoEt b'set
fortress-your-(plural) all are belong-they to-us.

IMHO, that gets the point across much more clearly.

I believe the point of having "keneet pishoeet" is that it's intentionally ungrammatical, just as the original quote is.

Good point. Certainly, that's why garEsenomE isn't garEsentEomE; the original used the singular case instead of plural for "base".

Should I be responding to the sig with ".ke garo golaa"?

The grammatical mistakes are indeed intentional  .

Good point about tomahn vs gahreesen, though; I’ll update the list, too.

Here's a correction for this based on D'ni slang. Ae'gura was not referred to as Ae'gura past a certain undefined point in their history; it was simply called "the island". That's what is written in the message found on the Ferry Terminal and other locations.

With that in mind, this would be more accurate if written:

.boseket xan rebantano
.bosekhet tsahn rehbahntahno
We'll always have the Island.

And to go with your "all your base are belong to us" translation, here's a companion:

.ke garo golaa
.kheh gahro golahah
For great justice!

Is anyone else amused by the irony of correcting intentionally incorrect grammar to be properly incorrect? ;)

Further, I don't believe we know how Ae'gura is actually spelt in D'ni. Personally, I think it was å'gura, but we just don't know.
