Season One of The Lost Art

The MystiTech team is so close to finishing the first season of The Lost Art. We intend to release the Prologue in August, either as part of Mysterium or to coincide with it. Including the Prologue, all six episodes of the first season are more or less edited, music has been—and continues to be—composed, and special effects are being added. Unfortunately some of the team have had to withdraw for RL reasons, and as a result we are short of avatar operators for the pick-up scenes where we have 5-7 characters on set (not including our camera people).

Our usual filming slot is on a Saturday morning/afternoon/evening depending on where you live. (Eastern Daylight Time: 7 am+ ; UK time: 10am + , Europe: 11am + , Australia: 6 pm +) However, if we can get enough people in one time zone we can be more flexible. You wouldn't have to be there for the entire shoot, nor would you have to commit to every Saturday.

This is not a call for extras, but rather for avatar operators to film actual scenes in the series. You will be required to 'dress' your avatar to detailed specifications (basically that means temporarily turning it into one of our characters). For continuity's sake this may mean several trips back to the closet if you don't get it exactly right (don't worry, that happens to us all the time!).

You would also need a Skype account so you could hear the camera person's directions, and so you could relay to them your KI number for transporting to the set. You would also need patience, and the ability to stand around doing nothing quietly while shots were being set up. If you know you can't make every Saturday but are still interested please sign up. Normal procedure is for our Operations Manager to send a round robin email when she is planning a particular shoot to see how many avatars she has to work with.

Please help if you can. We are really keen to share with you the results of a three-years labor of love.

If you are interested, please send an email to: [email protected]
