Shorah,

The purpose of this thread is to announce any new guides, walkthroughs and news we develop as a guild.

First announcement:

People have asked us how they may contact our Guild Masters. The Guild of Greeters has a Contact Us page on our website.

We desire to provide the best possible service in helping the Uru community. So please don't hesitate to contact us with your comments, questions, or concerns. We hope to hear from you!

P.S.: If mods can merge this thread with the other recent GoG threads located in Spoilers, Hints and Tips into a new thread called, "What's New at the GoG" and keep the new thread within Spoilers, Hints and Tips, I'd much appreciate it.

On January 12, 2008 the GoG published a Blue Flame (Sparklies) Guide on our website, in response to requests from Uru fans. Though their locations are common knowledge, and already listed in the goodies list, we just want you to know that we created a new webpage on our site.

The GoG Ahnonay Walkthrough is now available. It was first published on November 16, 2007, then added more goodies to it. The last update occurred on December 15, 2007.

The walkthrough also gives a description of how the Age works, and addresses issues commonly raised by players who are stuck for various reasons.

The GoG's What's New in MO:UL? Page contains headlines of content releases, storyline highlights by NPCs (e.g., Yeesha in K'veer) and fans (Cavern Choir renditions), as well as Cyan and Gametap interviews and announcements.

We hope this is is an additional resource that is useful to you. As usual, please let us know your thoughts or suggestions.

The GoG Er'cana Walkthrough was available since July 2007. It also features a map of the Age's facility, and video capture of different pellet recipes.

We hope that this inspires you, perhaps indirectly, to continue making in Laxman's words, "consistent" pellet contributions, whether in Season or in the off-Season.

As always, let us know your thoughts, comments or suggestions. We seek to improve the way we serve the Uru community.

We recently updated our MO:UL Character's Page with the developments from Season One (e.g., Cate no longer with the DRC).

A suggestion if it hasn't already been done: Adding these new things in the GoG KI Newsletter would spread the news of the updates in the cavern as well.

Everyone,

With the recent notification of MO:UL's closure on 4/4/08, besides continuing to help players in the GoG Bevin, our webteam is also refocusing some of our energies to improve our existing walkthroughs for the other games in the Myst series (Riven, Exile, Revelation). We realize that hints and guides already exist in other gaming sites. However, the walkthroughs on these sites is several years old. It is time to update at least the appearance, to hopefully appeal to a new generation of Myst players.

As usual, we're open to your thoughts and suggestions.

Not to stifle development but what is the point? There are plenty of sites out there already that encompass the D'niverse as a whole, is yet another site like that needed?

The argument that these walkthroughs are old only work when it comes to something like MOUL, given that Riven etc doesn't have a change of content.

If you really feel the need for other walkthroughs then I would suggest offering up links to sites that have them instead.

To promote development, there is always room for a better mousetrap to be made. Competition is good. To bad Cyan does not have some real competition. Second string makes first string that much tougher. :wink:

I'm partial to a small nuke disguised as cheese with a big ole fake mustache just to make sure...haven't had a mouse problem in years...course I haven't had much of a house either..
