Could I bother you on the Guild of Archivists stuff? The webring is something I haven't touched in a couple of years now, and I don't know of many sites that still have it on their web page (nor have I gotten a request to add a site in at least a couple of years). The Guild of Archivists itself is hosted at http://www.dpwr.net and our Information Archive is at http://www.dpwr.net/forums/index.php?autocom=ibwiki

I won't (yet) contest the officiality of the GoA, but I will note that RAWA has mentioned us by name in his guidelines for story approval in MORE, so I suppose take that for what it's worth. In any case, it's a fine list of resources you've got going here. :)

The URL address to the Guild of Maintainers has been updated.

You should use the one with the 3 "www." for proper board performance.

Thanks AW for the posts and updates. I have been reading through much of the forums, and information at times is somewhat convoluted and does not necessarily give as clear a direction as your posts have. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for the kind comments "urutheremin".

It is very rewarding when we learn we can make it a bit easier for our friends on "MORE's forums".

Due to an error on my part my list was lost. (second post of this thread)

If ever one of you has a copy hidden somewhere, I would appreciate a lot if you could
send me a copy through a PM.

Thank you
Artic_Wagon

In the mean time, I will start working on a new one.

Done

The list has been updated.

Small additions plus layout update.

My "twin" Rel.to was given a "bigger room" at the top

Re: Guild of Writers' forum.

While the official design is very stylish but difficult to read, you can switch it to a more legible but not so attractive 'prosilver' design via the Board Preferences tab on the User Control Panel.

I hope this helps fellow sufferers!

Shorah Dot.

I have edited the list and added this above quote to the Guild of Writers site links.

Thank you for the "fix". .

You can change the Writers' Wiki design too. Log in to the wiki, then select 'My preferences', and use the 'Skin' tab. There are several options, each offering a preview.

By the way, in the interests of continued inter-guild harmony, would you mind if the instructions were rephrased on the main post? Perhaps something like the following:

Thanks! :)

These instructions apply not just to the Writers' web areas, of course. It's helpful that these options are available, especially for those of us whose eyesight is not so good. Not all board admins leave them in, unfortunately.

Shorah

After pointing my nose three times, the above quote magically appeared under the GoW links list.

Thank you for saving the day with your fix. 8) Image

Btw, I am one of those person with old age diminishing eyesight who beleive
that these sites' options are a "gift from heaven".

You are welcome,
AW
