Better Search vs Sticky Threads

Since I doubt sticky threads and long lists of resources really help fans find answers to their questions, I am building better search tools for the guilds (or any site that wants to use them). The tools will be placed on the GoC Tech Data site for testing and a copy may reside there perminantly. Once the tools are tweaked to work as we want they will be moved into the guild search pages (obviusly that is at the guilds' option).

This first tool works with the GoMa site. It is in testing. You can see it here: :D

Why the need for two threads with same title and post ?

Same problem I had with "my dilemma" thread ? I do remember the comments. :twisted:

10:1 it's related to the double-post problem. People see an error message about a list of index words, and assume it didn't work.

Actually, it does, sorta. If you replied to a thread, it's been added but the 'last poster' on the board list isn't updated. But the post is still there. I guess same is for threads.


Just another fix needed along with the searching index... :?
