Open request to Cyan

Dear Cyan, You have a very loyal and dedicated following for MYST URU ONLINE. Some time ago uou stated that the source code would be released to the community. That time has passed without much in the way of updates as to the progress of this endeavor. I humbly request some kind of an update if only to say that this is still a possibility. Is URU dead or is it still alive. I feel that it is not unreasonable to make a short and informative post monthly as to the status so as not to keep us hanging onto something that will never come to fruition. PLEASE give us something one way or the other. Thanks.

I feel the same way. An update would be pretty good right now, even if nothing has changed so far.

And if Cyan Worlds really intends to give an update, I would like to make it clear we ask for an update per month, even a very small one, and not an update per 5 months.

best of luck Deirdre_1 but I feel its gonna take a heck of a lot more then a post or thread on their forums,
you hafta get their attention somehow, any idea's as tah how. I already tried stirring the pot. Maybe I was stirring the wrong direction.

What is going on with this?

The latest announcement states that we'll have something by the end of 2009!!! as some people might not be aware we are closing in on the end of the year. Does this mean that by 11.59 December 31st 2009 the product will be relaunched???

Some one round here should give us some answers????

Or at least update the Play tab paragraph...............AGAIN, but um updating the play tab to suggest another delay may cause some issues among the some of the fans. They do have Uru live running to a certain extent already but without Cyan's official seal of approval their is only so much that can be done.

Until Open Source Uru Live might be something to consider on both side before New Years, a lot of the effort to get Uru Live running has already been taken care of. All Cyan hasta do is Say something like

With the many projects going on here at Cyan HQ we have been unable to do much work on the open source project that everybody has been waiting for, however we are aware of the many Shards out their and in several cases have seen them for ourselves and cant help but be impressed. We plan on joining in with our own Shard in Open Source eventually but at this time we have to many other obligations that unfortunately must take priority in order to keep Cyan doors open. In the mean time we plan on looking into setting up a Shard Approval Process so that the Myst Community will have places to explore before the end of the year is up.

I cant thank you enough for waiting this long I don't know where Cyan would be with out our loyal fans

So very glad they've tried so many things to help get OS:MO out there to the fans, even though nothings worked. I'm even more glad that they're still trying and still not giving up on this.

I really wish they said they'd be open to donations, I'm sure a large number of fans would donate in support of Cyan.
