I installed (downloaded) Obduction several months ago and it would not play on my computer. Today I got into this Adam plays Obduction on Utube and saw the game played for the first time. All this was a walk through. I didn't see any puzzles or much interaction. I am waiting for the boxed game and hoping I can play it. So far, I am disappointed with my Kickstarter donation.

Well, I've no idea of what the video showed you but it couldn't have been very much, as even going at a good pace and knowing what to do there is going to be about 20 hours of gameplay. So it's possible that it never got as far as any puzzles (and there are many, of varying degrees of complexity). I found the first parts of the game were mainly exploring and finding what was where.

Thank you, Mac Fife for answering. It sounds as if you might have enjoyed the game. Do you know if anyone has received their boxed version?

The last backer update sent by Cyan said they were still finalizing the items and I imagine they'll send another one once they start shipping. To keep up with what other backers are experiencing (and possibly get help with your set up), you might want to check the Obduction section over at the . Your account here carries over there, so you don't have to re-register. See the .

If the latest version of Obduction that you can download via Steam or Gog.com does not work on your computer, then it's very unlikely that the boxed version will work.

I am hoping that my next computer will have enough ram. I only have 4 gb's now. Don't know just when that next computer will be. Read somewhere that Obduction needs 16, but will work with 8.

Depends a bit on other things, but 8GB is generally OK, 16GB is a bit more "comfortable".

Obduction plays easily on my HP.
win7-64, 16GB RAM, GTX980-8gb VRAM,
68 frame rate, played thru Steam.

GREAT game...and yes, puzzles.

Its got several endings, too...
depending on your last wants....LOL
