Will a recording of the broadcast be made available for those who couldn't listen in on the day of the event?

Yes. It should actually be a small number of recordings.

We'll publish the location of the recordings after the event happens.

Remember that MOULa is hosted in the Amazon Cloud. Therefore, power outages in Cyan have nothing to do with the game at all. Never mind that datacenters have redundant power (A+B) and generators such that power outages should never affect the servers except in the case of extreme natural disaster (eg Hurricane Sandy).

Adam makes a good point, but that just means whatever the problem is. it is localized to Cyan, not the Amazon servers. or you guys in America would be affected, while us in Europe wouldn't be, or the other way around. Also, the forum doesn't seem to be affected.

I don't think Keir was being totally serious about it being a squirrel's fault. :P

No, I think you've missed Adam's point. A Cyan local (Spokane) issue would have no effect on the servers since they're nowhere near Cyan's offices. Some of the MOULa servers are actually running and it only seems to be backend server (which handles all the interaction with the database, I think) that is having problems. So while there may not be a physical issue with the Amazon server hardware it sounds like maybe a software issue, possibly an Oracle problem.

The forums run on a completely different server with a different service provider, so you can't infer anything from whether the forums run or not.

I freely admit I have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it.

Who cares now, anyway? The servers are back up again and we're in for one fiery abyss of weekend, I think!

As promised in the plaza, I now post a more detailed schedule.

Edited for slight changes in DJ and engineer coverage

Wow, that's an impressive lineup for the day, and an EXCEPTIONAL job of charting the schedule, Alan!
Thanks for going to the trouble, especially with the different time zones!
Wow again.

Thanks

We will do our best to stick to the times, but they are not rigorous, as we have a tendency to talk for variable amounts of time

However I will do my best to make sure the DMR starts on time as their schedule includes a guest interview. There is a degree of slack built in to the timing, and we will try to keep to time one way or another.

The time zones columns are there because it's usually the first question people ask, and it was easy to calculate it all at once :)

As promised in the AGM, I've added a link to the schedule post so that a pdf file can be downloaded. The pdf copy is at higher magnification and sharper definition.

Just for completeness, here is the link again
