janaba, piboc was interviewed by Christine and Mouski during D'nipalooza, and the recording is still available for download from Ed's server. The whole event was recorded and Ed split it up into nine segments, listed here

viewtopic.php?f=66&t=27309

to download each segment, right-click on the link and select "Save Link as..." If you just want to listen, left-click the link and it will play in your browser.

The piboc interview starts at about 13 minutes into segment 7.

Next Sunday, we will have an evening I'm going to call Doobie-doobie doo. No, not an evening of competitive Frank Sinatra karaoke (that would be terrifying in a big-teeth and claws kind of way) but an evening with The Doobie Brothers. A really great band, in both their major incarnations, and especially good at getting you out of your seat and moving about the floor.

Sunday 22nd February 2015

13:00 KI, Ae'gura plaza.

Put http://aegura.harriman4.com/8000.php in your browser to select the way you want to listen to us
or
plug http://aegura.harriman4.com:8000/stream.mp3 into your audio player of choice: works with Winamp and VLC player

Don't forget your dancing shoes . . .

I had a lot of fun putting this set together, the hard part was deciding what to leave out. I spent a lot of time bouncing around with a big grin on my face, particularly when watching the "Live at Wolf Trap" DVD again. Thanks to all our listeners, who numbered 28 at one point - Now, next time, if you all bring a friend... we'll max out the city and have to relocate to Kirel or somewhere. I don't think that would be a problem.

In two weeks time, on March 8th, Mal will present a History of ZZ Top. See you there :)

I think we had a maximum of 23 listeners at one point: thanks to everyone who came along for a listen. Next week we will have Good Old Brit Prog Part 4 (of many), the working subtitle being The Yes/No Interlude, maybe... a play on an old British TV game show, the group Yes and an indication that there will be some Yes-related groups too. Hard to fit into two hours, but we'll see what can be done :)

Grovelling apologies, I had forgotten that we are one hour out due to differing DST time changes (facepalm)

I would prefer we did away with the thing entirely over here... (and as far as I can tell, so would the rest of the citizenry).

However, that is very unlikely considering how attached our politicians are to squabbling about pretty much everything.

Despite my misannouncement we had a max of eighteen listeners. Thanks to all who came along and those who listened in as well. One of these days we'll figure out how to do publicity - any volunteers?

The Yes-No Interlude was a section of one of the first game shows on British TV, Take Your Pick.

http://www.ukgameshows.com/ukgs/Take_Your_Pick
http://www.cherishedtelevision.co.uk/takeyourpick.html

As well as being the title of a track by Hatfield and The North (a Canterbury Scene band named after a motorway sign). And that's my trivia quotient fulfilled for today :)

In two weeks time we will have another Rarities and What-If's show put together by Mal. I'm hoping to contribute a few tracks...
