A reminder that we will have a show filled with tracks chosen by Boywhith under the title "Funny and Strange", tomorrow at 13 KI on the Aegura plaza. Boywhith will be with us on the plaza, but has no microphone, so will be featuring on text chat :) Ed, Mal and I will present, from notes written by Boywhith. Be there or be a rectangular equilateral :)

I am sorry to say that there will be no Radio Free D'ni show tonight. As it is the May Day holiday, I have guests and Mal is not available either. We will aim to be on in two weeks time, with a Rock Humour show :)

Since it is nearly four weeks since the last RFD show, I'm going to put one out somehow on Sunday. Ed is away in the US and can't be with us, and I don't know yet if Mal can mix for us, so it could be just me...

I'm putting together a mix under the tentative title of Celebrations, just some nice upbeat happy stuff without too much portent for a change :) Join us on Sunday on the plaza at 1300 KI.

Put http://aegura.harriman4.com/8000.php in your browser to select the way you want to listen to us
or
plug http://aegura.harriman4.com:8000/stream.mp3 into your audio player of choice: proved to work with Winamp and VLC player

Time flies... There was some D'nian Holidays recently that were never celebrated.
Due the lack of interest, I'd guess, as I suggested we'd do something. But nobody
seemed interested... A Linky on Holidays >>

So D'ni New Year has passed [21st of April]. Mother Earth Day [22nd] We opened
the Internationals Hood around that time two years ago but we did not celebrate
that anniversary this year. The Hood was lost in the Vault Wipe, and I think the
Cavern Events' Hood is a good substitute for time being. And it's for anybody to
use if wished.

Anyways, it's also Day of the Circle on Tuesday 19th May. We could try do some
dancing [in advance] on Sunday 17th. So bring it on, AlanD!

Unless I'm mistaken, the Day of the Circle (Leenovoo 18) was on April 6th this year, and the event on May 19th (~Leefo 23) is the anniversary of the Sealing of the Great Temple.

You might be right, Carolyn... I had apparently unreliable source info.
Just the same... Party on Sunday?

At last! On Sunday May 31st, Radio Free D'ni will present some Rock Humour - rock tracks with something funny about them. Mal and I have had a go at choosing some tracks and will talk about them during the show.

Meet in the plaza - concert will start at 1300 KI and run till 1500 (that's 8 to 10 pm UK time, 9 to 11 pm Western Europe) with some pre-show and post-show music so you can tune in your music players to the stream.

Put http://aegura.harriman4.com/8000.php in your browser to select the way you want to listen to us
or
plug http://aegura.harriman4.com:8000/stream.mp3 into your audio player of choice: proved to work with Winamp and VLC player.

Edison Rex, Malaclypse and AlanDJ - your Radio Free D'ni team.

No chance you can run the shows on Saturdays, is there?

Larry, we have avoided Saturdays as they have a "priority claim" on them by other broadcasters, most notably the DMR as-was. Hence the Sunday scheduling. So far it has worked well for us, and we have had good audience figures with minimal advertising. We keep meaning to spread the word a bit wider, but this is a shoestring operation, mostly for fun, and we've not put the effort in yet...

How many folks would listen to us on a Saturday who can't make it on Sunday? Post a reply please :)

You may know this already, but....

Trivia: in the USA, "RFD" is a postal abbreviation for "Rural Free Delivery", the system for postal delivery in backwoods locations.

Interesting. I've come across the phrase before (in Doonesbury, as it happens, Zonker was assigned tor Rural Free Delivery when he briefly had a job as a postman) but I've never seen the abbreviation used that way. Nevertheless, we are Radio Free D'ni. I will use the full title to avoid any confusion, shall I? I don't suppose many people will be expecting us to deliver them something in the mail...

Umm...Did somebody say something about increasing the number of packages delivered?

Anys, sorry we missed adding your last concert to the calender. I ended up work several double shifts the weekend before. Will try to do better with your next one!
