We have all the tools (except buckets... and someway to block up that leak) to pump down the new pod.

I'm going to put together a list of folks who want to bucket brigade water out (either using Reltos or the Nexus) of Tetsonot.

Volunteers get to keep their (intangable) buckets!

If the response is overwhelming, we may have to have several teams working on multiple instances of Tetsonot.

If anyone has any regular contact with the DRC, ask them for A) Buckets, B) A ResEng to block up the leak in Tetsonot.

If the DRC (or Cyanists) doesn't respond, we might as well have a slew of pod parties.

BYOE (Bring Your Own Eddie).

After Tetsonot gets cleaned up, I hope Yeesha gives us a link to the old instance. I like the atmosphere, even if there's little to see.

Don't forget, we will need some fashionable rubber boots. Maybe even hip waders. I want a hot pink pair please.

It needs to be repaired and then pumped out.

What would you do if you had buckets? Kick them around?

Obviously we would need /scoop and /dump emotes to go with the buckets. :)

And, if we wanted to take two at a time, /linkwithnose.

Yeah.. it bothers me that we don't exactly have anywhere to expel the water from the bucket into, once we've scooped it up. More than likely it would turn into a wet-t-shirt contest and... And I think we should do it, for sure, yes, definitely. Yup. Mmm, hmmm.

You fill the bucket, link to Relto, spill it off the clouds, etc.

So, I was chatting with a ResEng about the possibility of getting a ResEng down to help fix up the pod if I was able to get enough folks to do a bucket brigade.

He essentially said 'All our ResEngs are busy'... but I'm SURE we could get something in place if we gave 'em warning. He also said he'd pass the request on to the DRC.

Spread the word, get people involved. Heck, plug the holes in the top of cones so we have buckets ready!

<Edit>
Now I know this may be a bit IC/OOCish but I put it to the groups which are wrestling against each other.

Look at Tesonot. What can you do to fix it? How are you going to fix it? This is why the DRC is important; we can't do everything. We don't have the resources, the manpower, or the knowlege (OOC: Or the Raw, Unmitigated Server Access) all gathered in another organization.

The Path Yeesha spoke of is reconstruction, not deconstruction. The DRC may be silent, but their actions have pulled the D'ni reconstruction along. It's up to the Explorers to support the reconstruction, no matter the guise it comes in.

Admittedly, the DRC hasn't provided much in the way to foment trust, but I see the Ages come at a regular interval as well as documentation coming slowly.

I'm not sure why everyone believes Tetsonot pod is broken or leaking. The fluid level hasn't raised. Isn't it possible that something is causing the fluid to evaporate and condense above thus causing it to drip back down?

1. The rate of flow is far too fast for evaporation to be the mechanism by which water gets to the ceiling.
2. Why aren't we running out of oxygen? (This is more a general question than an objection, actually.)

As for how we are going to use buckets, it's quite simple really:
*link in to Tetsonot*
/me fills his bucket with water and holds it in his left hand
*link to Relto*
/me empties his bucket over the edge of the cliff

I hope nobody starts emptying their virtual imaginary buckets in the Nexus. Goodness knows what that would do to the machinery and the books there! (me imagines going to the nexus one day to find sparks flashing and the City books all ruined with water :o )
