Here is a list of bugs I've noticed so far:

I get that bug ALLl the time if I use the library link to Minkata. I never get that bug using the Relto link.

Other bugs I've seen and reported

White border around the "Urwin" constellation panel

Gaps between the hole tops and the ground. This makes it a cinch to see the holes for afar, most notable at night.

The shadows for the flags are not in alignment with the primary light source for the age.

Not quite sure what you mean with the "Gaps", as I don't think I have seen them, but I am usually able to pick out the holes upon searching by the fact that all of the rest of the "scars" have this black line etc. that develops on top as you near them. The holes have a different appearance and that is how I find them. I don't necessarily see any "gaps" per say. (Granted, I haven't done a lot of searching at night yet though). And perhaps I am just perceiving things a bit differently;) I am happy to have completed this even. lol

The only bug that I've found that all of you haven't mentioned in this thread yet is some plane clipping on the left of the Shroomie constellation after it's moved. Gonna double check this on some different graphics settings.

I've no gripes for Minkata. Sometimes the glyphs are hard to see.
If you go at them from the wrong angle they can be missed at least for me.
Don't know if it is an all over issue or not.
:( Just my two pennies

it would have to be tested, but I've linked into minkata and lost all 3 F2 f3 and f4 functions.
wanted to note that I was in first person when I linked in everytime. When I linked out via the stones in the age. I was in 3rd person and got everything back.

I get a stack dump just about every time I am in MInkata, not to mention the odd fog event which can be fixed by a second avatar dropping into a hole. lol Minkata is otherwise stable, i am sure all these issues will be resolved by the 19th.

in some (all?) the day "kiva's" you can climb invisible structures.
when you link to the night "kiva's" you see that the space with the invisible structure is occupied by boxes or rope cylinders.

The only bug I've seen not mentioned here is that at night you can see the polygon traced around the cage, where it is replaced by the day cage. Two different shades of dark sand at night.

I ticketed this bug:

The 4th floaty symbol does not always show up.

We played Minkata in a group. We had collected the first 3 Minkata symbols in Geron's age. After Geron had activated the night in cave 4 we could not find the symbol. There is no way we could have missed it with multiple players, some of whom had solved Minkata more than once.

These lines from the Python log seem odd:
Quote:
(05/08 00:10:35) minkSymbols.OnFirstUpdate(): You already found piece 1
(05/08 00:10:35) minkSymbols.OnFirstUpdate(): You already found piece 2
(05/08 00:10:35) minkSymbols.OnFirstUpdate(): You already found piece 3
(05/08 00:10:35) minkSymbols.OnFirstUpdate(): You already found piece 4
(05/08 00:10:35) minkSymbols.OnFirstUpdate(): You already found piece 5

We had not collected 4 and 5 in that age.

Taking crater size into account and its effect on shading, I'm fairly certain that this will turn out to be a pixelated monochrome portrait of RAWA.

Okay, prove me wrong.

That would depend, I would assume, on your point of view, or.. who the PixelMaster is.

I have only one question: If you get kidnapped by aliens, who will then become the PixelMaster? Shocked Maybe we should get Lloyd's of London to issue some Pixel Insurance . . .

I am flattered by the implication that I, one PixelMaster of many, would warrant such insurance.

If I am in some accident or were to have a sudden and/or mysterious disappearance, the executor of my estate will be given instructions to set the CO meter to black.

Beyond that, the other PixelMasters will carry on without me, promoting one of the PixelCaptains to PixelMaster to take my place. Some of my pixels would be lost, for each PixelMaster has a unique perspective of the "Big Picture", and no other PixelMaster will have precisely the same pixels as I have, which might be sad for some. On the bright side, it is entirely plausible that the next PixelMaster might bring pixels to the picture that some people would like more than mine.

Such is the way of things.

*laughs* I just got this reply to one of my support tickets:

By the way, I do like your map! Shows a lot of work. I think if you add all of the "Bobs" in there, though, people will be able to coordinate on a singular crater level! :)

"I'll meet you at Bob....oh, it's easy to find, just go west, past Bob, Bob, and Bob, and then turn North at Bob, and keep on straight 'til you see Bob on the right, and then you just go West again 'til you hit Bob!"

:lol:

Please, if I ever get it into my head to map out all the craters....smack me upside the head with one of those bones lying about, would you? Image

:lol:

Maybe if you're lucky and find a spot where you can superjump and get a nice view of the whole age? Or at least the thirty or so bumps close to you. I doubt that you actually can superjump in Minkata though, no sharp edges to run into. :P

*hopes that Mike Curn doesn't read her goofy posts*

Weee, back to project report writing... :?
