I'm just now at the point in this game where I can time and just look around. On one of "trips", I found something in Negilahn that looks like blinking eyes. Am I completely off here?

It hard to see in this screenshot, but you should be able to see it if you stand in front of the glass. :)

Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you.

They're definitely blinking eyes.

I've seen them, too. I'm pretty sure they are just a graphic artifact, but they do at least relieve the tedium of watching the leaves fall.

Probably an animal that would consume you should you step outside the pod.

There's a debate as to whether it's a graphical glitch or whether it's intended. Either way, it's very clearly there.

It could be the maintainer's mark glowing through the leaves.

Does anyone know if the blinks recemble to the ones in Tetsonot?

(Bad english, but I think you get the general idea :) )

It's an abondoned cat waiting for someone to take care of it.

Seems a lot more likely than eyes. The two points of light are pulsating (smoothly and regularly increasing and decreasing in brightness), not blinking.

Agreed. This conversation has gone on ever since Negilahn was released. The orange spot doesn't blink on and off, it brightens and fades. Eyes don't do that.

This was also addressed in-game; during the Doug/Nick explorations of the Age, someone asked them to check out that spot. The reply was something along the lines of "we looked, and there's nothing there, I'm not sure what yer talking about".

 Yeah - I remember that. I thought at the time we should beat them both soundly and send them back to do the job right. We need to know this....

They blink too regularly to be something alive. I think it's part of the pod monitoring apparatus out there.
