I've been trying mikata for awhile now and even tried GOG's walk thru but the whole timing thing didn't work, and i stink at reading maps and stuff. Does anybody have a map that shows exactly where the holes are, without having to follow the puzzles?

I made a marker mission that leads you to each of the caves, if you're interested. The markers are labeled by cave# (ex. Cave 1 #1, etc.). You do have to do the constellations on your own, though.

You ask for a map?
Okay, here is a map.

Warning! Really a BIG SPOILER, do not click unless you already tried everything to find your way through Minkata!

May the path be with you.

Greetings,

I can't figure out Minkata for the life of me! :(

Just "finding" a cave does not give you a part of the symbol.
When inside the cave, put your hand onto the stone and it will become night. Leave the cave, then "find your path in the stars" as written on the stone. This means, follow the constellation belonging to the cave number (see my map or BrettM's visual guide) and you should find the symbol floating in the night air. Walk through it and well, then follow the same constellation (now rotated in the night sky) to go back home and press the stone as well to switch back to daylight and you will see you got the symbol.
Are you the one who sent Ttreb the request for the marker missions signed "Matt"? If so, you need to include your KI number in the message. Unfortunately, the KI won't tell you who sent a message unless they are in the same Age, or are part of your neighbors or buddy lists, so I have no way to look up the KI number for sending the missions. (There are a lot of Matts in the Cavern. :))

Ah sorry about that, I sent it at like 3am. I replied to him, but just in case, it's 99146.

In my experience, when you read a note from someone, it should put their name in the box in the upper left corner. You can send to that name, without knowing their KI number, as long as it's still showing there.

The process should be almost exactly like putting a picture/note on an imager...

Even more impressive is the fact it was created only a day or two after Minkata was released. THAT took a lot of insight and perseverance.

Thanks, Noble-R!
