A HUGE vote of thanks to Jacquet for this. It was immense fun running all over the city for the markers and trying to work out the clues, not to mention the ugly avie contest first! A lot of work obviously went into this and it really paid off!

Thanks for all the fun, Jacquet. Unfortunately, I missed any of the Ugly Avie Contest, so I really, really hope to see some KI shots posted here, soon. Pleeeeeeease! :D

Well, we had fun! Thank you to all who attended, I hope you had fun fun fun in Ae'gura!

Now....the moment you have all been waiting for.... the winner of the Ugly Avi contest!
Image
I have to say, many more people came to watch than participate in the contest. You guys embarrass too easily! Take this as a challenge for next time!

Now, for the MarkerWord Games, the winners are:
Image

Image

Image
At this point I saw how The Meeting Place Bevin had a team strategy and decided to break the team up! Everyone was solo after this point.
Image

Image
I must say we had some pretty smart explorers playing, some of these were hard!

Congratulations to everyone who came and entered, voted, or played. The cavern was alive today!
don't forget to tell me how the word markers work. ;)

OK, here's how it works:

Jacquet's MarkerWord Rules:
Each marker name in the game gives you a letter.
Unscramble the letter to find an Uru related word or phrase.
Make your guess by PM to the host.
No linking is required, all markers are in the age.
You don't have to find all the markers to win, you can guess.

Here's what I will do: If you would like to play the games we did today, add your name and KI # to this thread. I will send you the game (all these games are in Ae'gura). If you solve it, you will probably know, but if you give up, send me a KI mail request (KI #1365455) and I will KI mail the answers to you!

Sadly, I had to return to the surface before the Day of Fun began. Your MGs sound like a lot of fun, Jaquet! Could you please send them to me? KI#'s in the sig, thanks!

Unfortunately, I missed the Ugly Avie contest (work called me away) but the marker games were really good fun -- an excellent idea, well-executed. Thank you, Jacquet!

Perhaps we could go on to develop some official team games...

Jacquet, thanks for such a great Event :D

All your hard work paid off and I was really impressed how organized & patient you were through the whole thing.

The Day of Fun was a total blast and everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves. I know I sure did :)
