So I cannot test URU by myself now I suggest to check such sings:

1. Beach Ball in Until was falling through texture sometimes if you push it between the stairs leading to community room and wall with imager on it. Just put the ball here and try to run on it.

2. Sometimes it was possible to jump over the railing surrounding hole in the museum's floor.

3. You were able to fall through the surface of island between two Gahreesen fortresses.

4. I'm just interested if there were collision detections added to 'bamboo groves' in Kemo (I think you can understand what I mean). It was pretty bad to feel that you are penetrated by plant's trunk.

5. Relto pages. What will be if Relto owner turns page on/off and relink while somebody is in his Relto? What will be if your friend is sitting on bench and you turn bench off and relink? If he is staying at the deactivated waterfall/imager/tree position and you turn them on? If he is staying on islands?
Will you and your friend just become in two different instances of Relto?

Last question is most interesting for me...

Those are good questions, particularly the last one. I can affirm that #4 is still happening, as I submitted a ticket about it yesterday. That's always been one of my pet peeves, standing there with a big ole bamboo pole stickin out of yer head...

We can't access the museum at the moment, so this one can't be tested.

4. No collision on the bamboo. I would like to see this as well.

5. Fetching_Player and I can confirm that the changes do not take effect until all players are out of Relto and return. Seems to work as it should.

Stop. If you turn off/on your page and relink you will not see the changes until everybody will link out or use your Relto book again? Or you can made changes only when Relto is empty?
I hadn't understood completely...

If collisions are added to the bamboos, they will either have to
  1. add an animation showing you going through and moving the bamboos out of the way (in a similar way as the doors to get in the 2nd gahr bldg are animated for you)
    or
  2. Reposition the journey cloth there, as it will be rather inaccessible.

Basically: The Relto will change states when nobody is there.

Example: Bob & I are in my relto.
1. I enable the bench.
2. I leave, the bench is still not there.
3. Bob leaves.
[The Relto is now empty]
4. Bob returns, sees the bench.
5. I return, and see the bench.

That seems to work the way it should.

OK.

Word about bamboos.

If you look at them you can see the path to journey cloth. You can pass even if they become rigid. And you can move not only forward but also strafe. When you go through the wood you often move edgeways.
It's good to add animation of bamboo when colliding.

Well I can tell you this about the bamboos. I submitted a ticket a few weeks ago asking about this and got the answer that it's supposed to be like that. If you want it changed you'd have to put in a feature request for it.

Number 3 in your list has occured to me (like twice), but it's more common to get stuck in that funky dance thing there.

I'd much rather see the ferns in Eder Delin have collision added to them first. The bamboo can be explained by the avatar walking more or less around them or them bending imperceptibly.

The ferns are as tall as and wider than the avatar is! Can't really explain that one there artistically :( Submitted a bug and got a "request moved to internal DB" comment... but perhaps if more people do so, it'll move up in priority :)

I noticed that with the redish short tree/fern thing there. You just walk right thru it. Doesn't look right at all.

I wonder if it'd be possible to make it so that the ferns bend out of the way as part of *their* collision animation, rather than changing that of the avvie. Though I can imagine a 'parting of the Red Sea' effect if the distances are wrong. ;-)

When I play EQ2 I have a choice of allowing vegetation to part as I move through it or simply walking through the images. The reason SOE gives for having a choice is that parting the vegetation is a significant issue in the generation of lag. Perhaps that is why Uru Live doesn't have the feature at all.

I might become permanently booted from this forum but want you all to be reminded of this little project relating to Uru:

[Edit] I am dumb... OMG I MISSED THIS LINK:

http://www.ilathid.com/home.php?lang=en - Screenshots, etc. IMPRESSIVE. (overuse of caps...oh well....)

http://ilathid.stoneship.org/boards/index.php

Ah, but there is a Cyan agreement:
http://www.ilathid.com/boards/index.php ... 257.0.html
According to the agreement respect for the Uru concept must be given and no profit shall come from this game.

There first demo is downloadable online:
http://www.ilathid.com/boards/index.php ... 641.0.html
Looks like it's a tad problematic but everyone helps out anyone with problems.

Any comments? Just a little hope for the adventure to continue.
They are taking resumés for all sorts of skills.

It's easy to join.

What was the name of the other similar project?

These people truly love the game.
Thanks Cyan!!! :D

I'll also mention this in the Feb. all guild meeting thread, and in the meeting itself.
