Shorah, Artic Wagon.

Over the last week I've been working on the Guild of Maintainers website to hopefully make it easier for people to find the main information about the guild.

If you would like to add links to the main sections, here they are. I've left the links in full view for ease of editing, but you might prefer to hide them behind some friendlier linking text.

About the Guild of Maintainers (how the guild is organised, what the different departments do and who heads them):
http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/index ... &Itemid=71

Getting started with exploring new Ages (what you need, how the ULM works):
http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/index ... &Itemid=70

Instructions on installing the ULM program and new Ages:
http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/index ... &Itemid=70

GoMa chat rooms (other groups are welcome to use them too):
http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/index ... &Itemid=73

To access the forum and chat rooms people will need to register here:
http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/index ... &Itemid=56

We're currently working on the FCAL process and the wiki, so they are probably best left off for now.

Thank you for your work on this. :-)

Shorah Dot.

veralun is going to have a heart attack when he will see
your long titles.

I will add them very soon.

Because of my declining eyesight (old age),
I have to do a lot of scrolling all the time at very low resolution
+ two fingers typing at about 4 words a minute or there about.

If I win the lotery, I will buy me a 60 inches high definition screen.Image

It should be done in about 1 1/2 hour.

In case it helps, here are some suggested short titles for the sections.

About GoMa
Exploring new Ages
How to install the new Ages
GoMa chat rooms
Registration form

I did the long descriptions so that people would know what they were about to link to, but I'm happy with either.

Just a suggestion:

Code:
[url=http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=45&Itemid=71]About the Guild of Maintainers (how the guild is organised, what the different departments do and who heads them):[/url]

[url=http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=46&Itemid=70]Getting started with exploring new Ages (what you need, how the ULM works):[/url]

[url=http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=47&Itemid=70]Instructions on installing the ULM program and new Ages:[/url]

[url=http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=49&Itemid=73]GoMa chat rooms (other groups are welcome to use them too):[/url]

[url=http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=registers&Itemid=56]To access the forum and chat rooms people will need to register here:[/url]

Than you get this:

About the Guild of Maintainers (how the guild is organised, what the different departments do and who heads them):

Getting started with exploring new Ages (what you need, how the ULM works):

Instructions on installing the ULM program and new Ages:

GoMa chat rooms (other groups are welcome to use them too):

To access the forum and chat rooms people will need to register here:

The only thing you have to do is copy and paste the text inside the codetag into your post.
It might be an idea if those who provide an url for your lists do that into a codetag.

Saves you also expences to make for a 60 inches high definition screen.

Thanks Arctic_Wagon, for putting together this list.

In Part Two, #7 you have the Guild of Healers listed. Thank you. The url is fine, but I'm not sure what the (login needed) part is for. To my knowledge anyone can read the forum or front end articles, and the site is meant to be public. If a login is actually needed to read the general forum, please let me know and I'll fix that.

Thanks!

Shorah ghaelen.

You are right. My old link was outdated.

1- Because I had only the first part of the URL = http://guildofhealers.net/forum/
finishing with the word forums/, I thought we had to login to see them.

2- The secret for getting back the right link was to click again both Home and Forums
for the right URLs
Home: http://guildofhealers.net/forum/index.php
or: http://guildofhealers.net/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=13e954c3144db30e36ad0c5c639a5733&
Forums: http://guildofhealers.net/forum/index.php/action,forum.html

I have added both links to my list.

Thank you for the feedback.

Maintainer 165, dtierce, has done a splendid job in getting the main information about the Guild of Maintainers into wiki format.

This makes it possible to simplify the GoMa links as follows:
Home
Forums
Wiki

Here's the code:
Code:
[b]3- Guild of Maintainers[/b]
[url=http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/]Home[/url]
[url=http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/Forum/]Forums[/url]
[url=http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/gomawiki/index.php/Main_Page]Wiki[/url]

The wiki includes the following sections:
About the Guild (and membership) -- creating an account, code of ethics, rules of conduct, levels of membership, organization, departments, and officers.

Policies and Processes -- FCAL process, Age development process, proposal procedure.

Playing/Inspecting Ages -- minimum requirements, Uru Library Manager (ULM), Age inspection, screenshot methods, Bugzilla.

Age Creation Tutorials -- rules of writing, GoW tutorials, GoMa tutorials, other tutorials, resources.

Publishing Your Age -- uploading Age files to the ULM library.

Resources -- game patches, utilities, and Age builder resources.

Definitions, Abbreviations, and Acronyms -- definitions of terms relevant to GoMa documents.
