Shorah Maintainers!

The recent departure of three of the GoMa Grand Masters has left us a little short in the leadership area. In addition, those Grand Masters still around were elected on a temporary basis and after a year we think we're pushing the boundaries of "temporary".

Understand, the remaining Grand Masters are not jumping ship. We just feel that after a year, it is only fair that we open up the positions for election again. Any one of us would be proud to continue as your Grand Master(s) if we should be re-elected.

Now, we have a problem. While we established a career ladder which stated that Grand Masters had to be elected, we never established that election procedure. So, we are opening this for discussion....

Please offer your suggestions and ideas in this discussion thread on the GoMa forum.

We look forward to your input into this critical piece of our Guild structure.

Grand Master Election Procedure
* Guild members can nominate any Guild member, including themselves
* All Guild members can vote
* Each position will be elected separately
* If one person wins multiple elections, they will have to chose one, with the runner-up for the position they don't choose "winning" that election
* Terms are 1 year long
* If a GM steps down before their term is up, the remaining GMs can appoint a temporary GM while an election for the vacant position can be setup and run
* GMs can be re-elected to as many terms as they are willing to serve
* Nominee with the most votes wins
* In the event of a tie, a run-off will be held
