When is there ANYBODY in Minkata shard????

It's Really Lonely in there! There are neighborhoods where I am the first visitor in two years. My KI Recent list has no names. I've never met anybody there!!

It's a testing shard, Henry. You're unlikely to find anyone there unless there is something to test. Didn't you figure that out during the Minkata has lost my account thread when I referred you to the OpenUru.org Minkata Test Shard section? I would recommend that you try MOULa or the Gehn shard.

Miinkata is a perfectly good, stable shard. Why not use it? It's like locking the spare bedroom when it's not in use. It needs use. To quote reified "Obviously it has been more attractive to deploy content on a highly active shard to get good exposure, and I understand that." I don't understand why it can't be or shouldn't be an active shard. I got back to the UU shard days and dropped in on shards that were rarely if ever active. And I am on Moula and Ghen and would get on others.

It's mostly because it's almost exactly the same as MOULa and has not been updated in quite some time. And as Tai said, it's primarily a last-stop testing ground for the fixes/updates that get pushed to Cyan for approval and implementation into the regular MOULa shard.

Gehn on the other hand is NOT a testing shard, so you can play there if you'd like, howerever recursively people don't play on Gehn since nobody plays on Gehn

It seems Henry is familiar with the shards and which features can be found on each; he's just wondering where all the people are.

Henry, why don't you choose your favorite shard and throw a party to get people to come there. :wink:

It's the same problem that's been plaguing Myst Online for years: how many people know these alternate shards exist? For that matter, how many people know that MOULa exists?

If you build it, they will come. But if you promote it, they are more likely to come!
