Mac_Fife has been at it again! He has created a complete griefer / harassment reporting system! And it is now installed and running on the MOULa servers!

This new reporting system allows someone that has been harassed online in MOULa to quickly, easily and informationally create reports to be submitted to Cyan. And once a report is created, an email is sent to Tor’i and team so they can more easily gather information and determine a disposition.

Here is the link:http://account.mystonline.com/trouble/
If you want to give it a try, submit a report with "Chogon" as the troublemaker Avatar Name and put “Testing” in the Complaint Details field. Then we will know to ignore it.

I will update the MystOnline.com site with this link in the PLAY tab shortly. All the different languages will be in English until I get the translations.

Thanks,
Chogon

Way to go, Mac Fife!

Am I assuming too much to expect a future version of MOULa will have a way to launch this URL directly from within the game client , opening it in the user's preferred browser?

Thank You Mac, Chogon et al at Cyan for this! Great stuff...

(and thanx to ResEng too, who looked into a minor issue yesterday...)
((pfft... Chogon's posting is his number 911...))

That'd be for someone who can manipulate the client code (i.e. not me :P) to determine and propose. But in principle it sounds like a viable suggestion.

Thank you Mac_Fife for putting in the time and effort on this. I tested it today and had a confirmation in seconds.

Ill spread the word in the game through a Ki-mail.

I forgot to thanks the maker of that system

Nice work Mac!

It is very fast now. I received a confirmation number and a confirmation email. At least, I know the email was sent even if it was a phony grief report this time.

It's probally not a good idea too sumbit phony greefer reports just like one should not make phony 911(emengcy) calls. I'm sure Mac has tested this system before submitting it to Cyan.

I'm sure Annabelle was referring to testing the system by reporting Chogon as the troublemaker.

Hmm it seems to work well. It appears I can put none numbers in the Ki# slot, I don't know if this is supposed to be allowed or not.

Also should a 'human test' be added to reduce spam?

Doesn't matter as any non-numeric characters get stripped out before the report is submitted to the database - it's a non-essential field anyway.

No. The objective was to keep the barrier to submitting a report as low as possible. That's also why there's no need to register to use it (as would be necessary to submit a Support ticket). There are (unseen) measures in place to deal with spam and other forms of "nuisance" submissions.
