The main game servers are hosted by Amazon, so aren't affected by the conditions in Spokane. However, the Support webserver is run from Cyan's offices and it is that server that provides the cavern status message the appears as part of the login dialogue boxes. If that server is down, then it is likely that the login process will time-out when using the standard client, but it's partly dependant on timing/luck and OS. XP machines seem not to be badly affected (if at all), but Win 7 upwards are. In rare cases, you might get in after several attempts. Some clients have been built with the code amended to address this issue but it hasn't made its way into the Cyan build yet.
