When giving the lecture, I referred the guests to a series of charts in a hidden folder of my Myst fan site. If you missed it, you can still see what I was talking about, since the notes I was reading from are in the same folder. The only thing I can't recreate are the questions that were asked during the event, but there weren't many of those.

The charts can be found here:

The notes are here:

If you watch the video, after the lecture ended I was asked to show the group the D'ni addresses that appear above the doors near the Community Room. Those addresses only appear in that short stretch of corridor. That's because the entrances to the rest of the homes in the neighborhood are all in tunnels in the rock around the common spaces, so their address plates are inaccessible.

The address numbers are in 4-digit groups, and all of the numbers are set in bars. Normally, if a set of numbers was intended to be read separately instead of as a numeric value, they'd be set in individual boxes. They also range between zero and nine, with no numbers above nine.

On the inside of the corridor, there is one door marked 4649. On the other side of the corridor, there are two doors that are marked 6497 and 7840. The numbers do not appear to be sequential, although they rise in count.

Number bars in D'ni math usually represent numerical values rather than individual numbers, although addresses seem to be an exception to the rule. If read as a numeric value, 4-6-4-9 would be 66,359, 6-4-9-7 would be 96,482, and 7-8-4-0 would be 114,475. However, they make no sense if read that way.

I am pleased to present you the recording of the dance show on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of MOULa. We had some technical issues during the show and I promised to make a video. We did that yesterday:
