Calling all sopranos!! The Cavern Choir invites high female voices to join in our creative singing of exciting and rarely performed repertoire! Auditions to be held on Friday, June 8 thru Sunday, June 10.

The Choir is a small, select group of singers devoted to performing a cappella classical choral music from medieval through modern periods. We hold live concerts at various times throughout the year in the D'ni cavern in celebration of its people and its history, past and present. Our next concert will be held in winter '07, and will showcase choral gems from the Renaissance celebrating the Christmas and Hanukkah holidays. We also have plans for a concert of all new music, where we'll premiere new works written specifically for the Choir by composers in the cavern.

If you are interested in auditioning, please complete and submit an audition form by Wednesday, June 6. Auditions will consist of you singing a song of your own choosing, plus a few exercises to evaluate range, ear, rhythmic/melodic memory, and sight reading. Auditions are held over TeamSpeak in a private channel, and customarily take no more than 25 minutes each.

Please visit the Cavern Choir website or contact music director Domahreh ([email protected]) for more information.

Come out for auditions and help us make D'ni ring with music!
