Yeah, it's in the wrong forum. On purpose. Think about it.

All that follows is presented with tongue firmly in cheek. Well, maybe not that firmly. It is, after all....a game. So take your seats and grab whatever grain of salt you may have.

How many forum members does it take to change a light bulb?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to move it to the Lighting section
2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

LRBolt

And finally, a tip of the Stetson to the Forum Mods that have to deal with all of this.

Q: How many forum members does it take to start another argument over the state of the forums/game/lack of content/ADM/etc.?

A: One, who thinks it a bright idea to use the "How many forum members does it take to change a lightbulb" gag, and not only that, but deliberatly places it on the wrong board.

Nice one.

Mods: Please lock it or at least move it to the off-topic forum.

You forgot the 4 or 5 people who post about lightning bugs and how cute they are throwing things off topic for a couple days.

Has anyone here have a recipe for summer squash?

It truly is a neverending topic.

Was the light bulb in actually a genuine light bulb? Was a committee formed to assess the light bulb's performance and consider whether game play would be negatively affected by changing the light bulb?

Should someone have been delegated to investigate whether the light bulb had power before the bulb was changed?

Was it the responsibility of that person to change the light bulb at all, let alone announce that this had been done?

And, horrifyingly, was the used light bulb properly disposed of?

Thank you for the humorous look at group posting strategy. I'm going to be wondering where my posts fit in the ladder of light bulb changing for a while after this. :D

This sounds pretty tasty:

Stuffed Summer Squash

INGREDIENTS:
2 medium yellow summer squash, halved lengthwise
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons plus 1 1/2 teaspoons butter, divided
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons finely chopped pepperoni
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
4 tablespoons fine bread crumbs, divided
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
salt and pepper, to taste

PREPARATION:
-Remove pulp from squash, leaving 1/4-inch thick shells. Chop pulp and reserve.

-Cook shells gently in hot oil in a covered skillet over medium-low heat. Turn shells once, cooking about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until just tender.

-Transfer to a rack, cool and pat dry with a paper towel.

-Add 1 1/2 teaspoons butter to oil in skillet. Add squash pulp and onion. Cook until onion is tender.

-Stir in pepperoni, 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons bread crumbs, parsley, and salt and pepper to taste.

-Fill shells with squash mixture.

-Mix remaining Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. Sprinkle over squash. Dot with remaining butter.

-Broil squash 4 inches from heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or until golden brown.

please do a Google search on summer squash before posting questions about same.

Also wikipedia can be useful.

You don't know the history of light bulbs, I do!

You forgot the dozen people who will argue about whether the management/owners approve or dissaprove of light bulb changing and/or the technique of light bulb changing.
